Lynsey completed her Registration as Clinical scientist in 2013 with a Medical Physics MSc from the University of Manchester and started working in the area of Brachytherapy at The Christie, Manchester, UK. During her time in Manchester she carried out projects implementing the Multichannel Vaginal Applicator and as a part of a multidisciplinary team introduced prostate HDR monotherapy and was responsible for all source security and radiation protection advice. She also presented at training schools held within the department – with a particular interest in improving methods of vaginal mucosal dose reporting.
Since moving to Australia she has continued to be active in Gynaecological brachytherapy programmes and has also undertaken research using TG-186 based calculation algorithms. In January 2018 she moved to a new role with the Sunshine Coast University Hospital.
